I’m super proud to present the new Bong-Ra ‘Ass Whipping Custom Pack!’
We’ve tried to create the most fun, raunchy and slutty concept to go with the celebration of this release!
The goal was to create the best handcrafted package possible which would reflect the concept of the Bikini Bandits project, from 2003 to 2013.
The goal was always to have the ladies portrayed as sexy but strong and proud. Basically the best of both worlds! I got a lot of grief back in the day for being sexist or a macho… Sexist…for sure… i love sex! ;) But i am very pro-strong women, and this was and has been my way to express this in this project and concept!
Together with Limited Cartel and YASS Photography… 2 strong creative females! we created the 2.0 version to bring the physical aspect back to experiencing music. 2013 and ten years down the line, Bong-Ra has decided to remix four of the smashers off the album ;
‘666MPH’, ‘Can You Dig It?’, ‘Blood & Fire’ and ‘Dub Murderer’ in a new fierce heavy style.
The EP will be released in November via the Rotterdam based PRSPCT Recordings on vinyl, digital format and special CD edition for Japan… to be entitled ‘On Your Knees Motherfucker!

‘Deal With The Devil’. Track produced by Bong-Ra for the 2nd Dope DOD album. Their concept was an apocalyptic / dystopian hip-hop album. Shit got nasty.

If I always felt some sort of adversity towards electronics music it wasn’t because I thought it was unable to take music to places where the human capability was uncapable of exploring, but because I thought of it as a soulless craft. It was ignorant and short sighted of me to think that way because clearly, whether through guitars or programming it all still comes as spawn of human creativity.

Everyone has their dark side,” laughs Jason Köhnen. The man better known as Bong-Ra, responsible for some of the most thrashing electronic music out there, has just admitted to having “a thing” for Rod Stewart in hot pants—one of the many surprises thrown up in our interview. Another: He rarely listens to electronic music at home, preferring more “organic” strains of audio, as he calls it.
