Hodge-podge

Time for This-or-That! Go here to join in on the fun. All the cool people are doing it... ;)

This week's topic: Breakfast!

1. Bacon or sausage?

Mmmmm… bacon…

2. Eggs: scrambled or not?

Yes, scrambled. Until firm, please, and served with salt and pepper.

3. French toast or regular toast?

Regular wheat toast, lightly buttered.

4. Pancakes or waffles?

Oh, I love me some pancakes! If I could eat them every weekend, I would – diet be damned. I like the thick, fluffy ones the best. I even like the cold, leftover ones from the fridge. :)~

5. Muffins or bagels?

A bagel and a schmear = yummy! Muffins can be too sweet or messy. However, I’ve never met a bagel I didn’t like.

6. Coffee or tea?

Tea, with a bit of honey and a splash of cream or milk. I’ve never been able to drink coffee; it’s just so blecccccch. I love the aroma of it, though, and I enjoy serving it to my guests. Weird, huh?

7. Juice: orange or grapefruit?

I prefer orange juice, but I like grapefruit juice, too. My parents are juice fanatics and always urged my sisters and I to try different kinds when we were . I mean, funky stuff like apricot nectar, pear juice, carrot juice, and even prune juice. And all sorts of blended kinds as well. I am smiling right now as I type this, remembering the first time they served us V-8 … we acted like we were going to die if we had to drink it! We whined and then made a nose-holding production as we slugged it down. Hah! Now I love the stuff. So do my sisters. :)

8. Hot or cold cereal?

Malt-o-meal in the winter, corn flakes in the summer.

9. To put in cereal: bananas or strawberries (or some other fruit)?

Bananas!

10. Eat breakfast at home or at a restaurant?

I like to eat breakfast at home, where it’s quiet and familiar. I can’t handle the general public first thing in the morning and on an empty stomach. Plus, at home I can eat from my pretty pink dishes.
